Bakken Rig Count Drops by One
The Bakken-Three Forks rig count fell by one this week with 62 rigs running across our coverage area by end of the week on Friday.
In recent Bakken news, a well owned by Oasis Petroleum blew last week leaking more than 67,000 gallons of oil and causing law enforcement to close several roads.

A total of 775 oil and gas rigs were running across the United States this week. 197 were targeting natural gas (four more than the previous week) and 578were targeting oil in the U.S. (16 less than the previous week). The remainder were drilling service wells (e.g. disposal wells, injection wells, etc.)62are in ND alone.
Bakken Oil & Gas Rigs
The Bakken oil rigs were at 62 this week with Bloomberg reporting WTI oil prices trading at $46.35/bbl on Friday afternoon. WTI-Brent increased $1.41landing at $49.40. The Bakken has zero natural active gas rig in the area this week with futures increasing slightly to $2.33/mmbtu by midday.
